Kozma Kumani has over 15 years of experience in the real estate industry. Prior to founding Kumani Private Capital, he raised over $300 million in equity and debt for real estate acquisitions cross the U.S. and LATAM, working with a global clientele of institutional and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) investors. His expertise spans multifamily, senior housing, hospitality, and industrial assets, with a sharp focus on structuring complex transactions that deliver strong, risk-adjusted returns. Beyond real estate, he has also raised capital for special situations, including venture-backed opportunities and high-growth private investments, leveraging deep investor relationships to fund unique, high-potential deals.
Kozma began his real estate career at Lloyd Jones LLC, a Miami-based real estate investment firm focused on multifamily and senior housing, where he worked directly under the firm’s founder and chairman, Christopher Finlay, a mentor who played a pivotal role in shaping his early development in the industry. As VP of Capital Markets, he played a crucial role in securing LP and Co-GP equity for large-scale acquisitions, with a primary focus on multifamily and senior housing. Working alongside the founder, he directly engaged with institutional investors and family offices, building deep relationships and driving capital formation. Recognized for his ability to raise and deploy capital effectively, he moved to Los Angeles to join Manhattan West Asset Management as Director of Investor Relations. At Manhattan West, he led the firm’s capital-raising efforts and shifted focus to industrial real estate alongside multifamily. He spearheaded investor outreach, structured joint ventures, and developed an investor relations and marketing strategy that expanded the firm’s real estate platform into new markets and asset classes.
Eager to take on a more entrepreneurial challenge, Kozma became Executive Director at 36th Street Partners, where he was responsible for leading capital-raising efforts for high-profile industrial transactions and positioning the firm within the competitive alternative investment space. Overseeing investor relations and deal structuring, he worked closely with institutional and private investors to secure funding for strategic acquisitions in the industrial sector. However, after several years, he recognized the need for a more flexible, independent platform—one that could operate globally and adapt to shifting market conditions. This vision led him to launch Kumani Private Capital, a family office boutique advisory firm built to connect sophisticated capital with high-performing real estate ventures worldwide.
Kozma holds a degree in Economics from Arizona State University and is fluent in English, Spanish, and Albanian, with working proficiency in Italian. Outside of work, he is an avid traveler who enjoys exploring different cultures, playing sports, and spending quality time with friends and family.
